Meg Phillips, Fitness & Yoga Instructor, Retro Active Fitness Director
I have been an enthusiastic Kelly’s Bootcamp participant since Day 1 and have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this amazing community. As a non-athlete growing up, I love that I am stronger in my 50s than ever, and I have Kelly and KBC to thank for it! While I was a behind-the-scenes KBC team member for many years, I made the leap to become an instructor in 2018 and have not looked back.
I want my classes to feel like a welcoming space for all where people can set aside their day-to-day responsibilities, focus on getting better…both physically and mentally, and have fun.
In addition to strength, conditioning and yoga classes, I also lead a small group, Retro Active, that is geared towards the 55+ community. During these sessions, we incorporate low impact cardio, strength, mobility and stability work. It is so rewarding to hear how Retro has helped our members live more active and engaged lives ~ from being able to hike with grandkids, to helping friends move, to balancing on a boat better, and more. We’d love to make a difference for you too ~ please reach out if you’d like to visit for a complimentary class!
I hold a Personal Training certification from the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and a Yoga Teacher Training certification (YTT 200) through Movement Wisdom. In addition, my continuing education training has focused on working with the 55+ population to ensure safe, effective and challenging methodologies.
My favorite clients to coach:
I’ve loved coaching Retro for the past five years! It is a joy to watch our students improve…in strength, balance, and mobility. It has been equally rewarding to watch friendships form and see our Retro crew cheer each other on and support one another in and out of class. Improved health & fitness, connection, and fun! There’s nothing better.
